There's a full gauge package in place which is always a welcomed sight. It doesn't even have to be a sunny day drive with the included heater and full top/curtain package. Glassic utilized the motor from the international harvester scout 800. It fires up it ease and the maintenance is hand tool simple. It's not just the engine that's upgraded. The entire underpinnings were borrowed from the scout which includes the three-speed manual transmission as well as the hardy chassis and suspension. Not all ford model a roadsters were created equal. Not only is this one a rare sight because it was not turned into a hot rod, but also it's the extraordinary deluxe model that has a more regal appearance. And with the excellent color combination and condition of this 1931 example, it's hard to find a better way to experience vintage motoring. The model a was the ford motor company's dive into style, and the 40-b deluxe roadster like this one was one of the best ways they showed it. This starts with the two-tone yellow paint with glossy black fenders. These colors are bold on their own, and they also do a great job of highlighting the red wire wheels with whitewall tires. And part of what makes it a deluxe model are the spares mounted in each fender. But this one even gets the details right like the great-looking folding roof, and the red pinstriping that matches the wheel color (and model a people know good ones have this.) the rear folding luggage rack is made of wood with a chrome surround. The exterior color scheme continues on this dashboard, including the pinstriping. All the gauges in the bright center panel look great, and the auxiliary readouts below that do a great job of providing more info while fitting in with the motif. The historic ford powerplant is all about torque, and so it gives a rhythmic chug that feels like being in charge of a mini locomotive as the tempo increases with the acceleration. The three-speed manual transmission shifts cleanly with a quick double-clutch and the brakes are effective for a vehicle with modest performance and light weight. So, in total, this classic ford is still a fun runabout.

This is my sweetheart that i'm selling. Iv had it for about 15 years and she is a wonderful driver. Great power, there isn't a hill she won't go up. I put new tires and tubes in her but the front right tire does loose air overnight. I just put new points condenser rotor cap wires and plugs in her because she sat for ten years on blocks without driving her. And she runs just as strong as she did when i stored her. She has a pig skin interior as i was told that they use in argentina and it's softer than italian leather. There is paint cracking on the rear fenders and aprons. The front fenders were repainted when i bought her and look great. There is no rust under her, only on top of the tail light extensions and the chips on the firewall where the paint chipped off probably from the heat of the motor. And it's very minor surface rust. I do bodywork for a living and i never touched her because it looks to be mostly original paint. The paint on the top of the hood is faded and worn. The top looks original.
